Terms of Service

Slow Sync (“we”, “us”) is a curated, human-only reference photo library operated by BluePigFilm. The service is currently free. By using Slow Sync or submitting a photo, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptable use

You may browse, search, and draw inspiration from the library for personal, editorial, and commercial mood-board and reference purposes. You may not use the service to harass others, to upload unlawful content, or to attempt to disrupt or overload the site.

2. Human-made only — your attestation

Only human-made photographs are allowed. Every uploader must check the confirmation: “I confirm this photo was made by a human photographer and is not AI-generated.” AI-generated or AI-edited imagery is prohibited. Submitting AI-generated work as human is a breach of these Terms and grounds for removal of the photo and, where accounts exist, suspension of your account.

3. License you grant us

By submitting a photo, you grant Slow Sync a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute the photo within the reference library, including showing it in the public feed, on detail pages, and in search results, together with the photographer credit (name and optional Instagram handle) you provide. You retain ownership of your photo.

4. Only upload work you own or control

You may only submit photos you own or are otherwise authorized to share. Do not upload photos that belong to another photographer, that are subject to a license you do not hold, or that violate any third-party rights. You are solely responsible for the photos you submit.

5. No scraping or bulk downloading

Automated scraping, crawling, bulk downloading, or data extraction from Slow Sync is not permitted. The library is intended for browsing and reference; please view photos on-site.

6. Accounts

Certain features — uploading photos and saving private boards — require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

7. Moderation & approval

Submitted photos enter a pending queue and appear publicly only after admin approval. We may decline, remove, or hide any photo at our discretion, including photos that appear AI-generated, that we believe infringe third-party rights, or that otherwise violate these Terms.

8. Age & parental guidance

Browsing and searching are public with no age-gating. The service is intended for users 13 years of age and older. Users under 18 should use Slow Sync with parental guidance, and a parent or guardian should submit photos on behalf of minors.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slow Sync and BluePigFilm, and their officers and agents, from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your uploads, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or restrict access at any time, including for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability) remain in effect.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that photos are accurate, complete, or continuously available, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slow Sync and BluePigFilm shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the service.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, and you waive any right to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration.
